Element: Determine job requirements
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
       
Element: Select production processes
  • Examine design brief and specifications to determine required production expertise and services for jewellery or object
  • Establish quality and service criteria for production processes
  • Research possible jewellery or object suppliers or manufacturers and select most suitable resources
  • Confirm that production process meets organisational objectives and performance systems
  • Document production brief and plan with clear information on process, resources and responsibilities

  • Negotiate production arrangements and establish performance targets with key production personnel
  • Assign tasks according to available expertise and production requirements
  • Provide and explain jewellery or object design specifications, drawings and all relevant information to production personnel
  • Establish relevant technical, monitoring and reporting procedures
  • Maintain ongoing communication with personnel to ensure obligations, quality, timelines, budget and technical constraints are met
  • Address problems and make required production modification decisions
  • Ensure production changes are documented and reflected in design documentation
  • Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with WHS practices

Assessment Tasks
